Migration #8

Another photo from the migrating cranes – I didn’t post this at first because it was to similar to the other shots. Slightly uncoordinated flying here, there seem to be at least three separate swarms here!.

City Views #86: Leineweberstrasse VI

Yesterday’s photo was originally supposed to be the last one of Mülheim’s Leineweberstrasse and in some sense it was, because this is the view of one of the side streets, the Kohlenkamp with the church hill and the Petrikirche prominently in the background. The church may be mostly hidden, but there are a few places where it isn’t obstructed by other buildings in the inner city.

The Duck on the Roadside

I saw this lovely old Citroen 2CV parking on the other side of the road and I just had to take a photo of it. The title of this post comes from the German moniker of the Deux Cheveaux – we call it Die Ente, The Duck!

City Views #85: Leineweberstrasse V

A last view of Mülheim’s Leineweberstrasse, this time from the Berliner Platz crossing in the other direction. Unlike the previous photos which were from this summer, this one is from 2004 and apart from the slightly smaller trees it still looks about the same as today. In the background you can again see one of the ubiquitous highrise buildings looming over the city.

October View

I believe I forgot to post this – a view from my balcony at the end of October when it was still colourful.

Balcony Flowers #183

Is it just me, or does the center of this Oxeye Daisy really look as bit like a noodle salad? :-)
