Springflowers #55

No, this is not the same photo as yesterday, I just accidentially put a similar one in the pipeline and didn’t notice until now. But what the heck, another one of these can’t hurt :-).

City Views #165: Street Panorama VI

This is the upper part of Mülheim’s Eduardstrasse – well, we call it the upper part because the street runs a bit uphill, but actually this perspective is looking south to north. There are quite a few older houses here, but curiously there have never been any trees here save for the big one at the end of the street.

Cactus Flower 2014 #26

The cactus flowers are still around, but most of them have wilted now after a really heave blooming season. I wonder if the cactus is going to start blooming again around Easter? It wouldn’t surprise me!

Apple? Peach? Pear? I have no idea, but the blossoms look nice :-).

City Views #164: Street Panorama VI

Before I get sidetracked again like yesterday, here’s another black-and-white tryout panorama, this time from the area of Mülheim’s Kaiserplatz. I took this panorama from a side street where you can see the catholic church tower on the right with the church community buildings going down the street, then some of the buildings on the Kaiserplatz and the connecting Leineweberstrasse and then the curious building with the two towers on each end standing on a triangle between three streets. In the background on the right are two of the four ubiquitous inner city highrises and on the far right you can again see some of the older houses with a few ornaments. This panorama worked out quite well despite the very extreme angles.

The Quiet Robin III

The last photo of the little robin that was just sitting around with some nesting material in its beak – maybe it still needed to figure out where to build the nest? :-)

The Pigeonhawk

I thought I saw something hawk-like sitting in a tree today,
but then it turned out to be just a pigeon – but one with attitude! :-)

Springflowers #53

I found some of the Ranunculus Ficaria alias Lesser Celandine again,
but to me they’re still the star-shaped yellow blossom :-).

The Quiet Robin

Another one of yesterday’s Robin who just wasn’t up to singing because otherwise all the nest-building material would have fallen out of its beak! This one’s a little differently processed as an experiment.
