City Views #834: Altstadt III

This is Mülheim’s Tersteegenhaus, a small museum dedicated to religious writer Gerhard Tersteegen, who lived here until his death in 1769, but the actual house is much older. The left side is a recent addition, but the original is still preserved. Unfortunately it was recentlydiscovered that the original house is in danger of collapse because of rotting wood in the timber frames – currently the house is heavily clad with scaffolding. I took this photo on December 21 of last year when it still was unobscured.
