Birdspotting 2015 is off to a good start! Because the Blackbirds are not grain-eaters and have no interest in the bird feeder, we sometimes put a sliced apple in the balcony flowerbox, which has been well and thankfully received. Here, the Blackbird male had already spotted me, but didn’t fly away at once when I was taking photos through the balcony door. There’s still a bit of apple stuck on his beak :-).
