Today, the flood wave hit our city and fortunately Mülheim was not nearly affected as severely as other cities in NRW, but I have never seen the Ruhr flooding the city like this. I walked once around the Schloßbrücke and took some video and photos.
Last August I encountered a whole family of Egyptian Geese and this year they’ve got young ones again, which reminded me that I completely forgot to post the video! So here it is.
While I was shooting the Berlin Market photos, I also recorded some video – I already edited it when I still was in Berlin, but never posted it. Here’s a freshly re-done version I put together today with some better editing. It’s still a bit shaky in places, but it’s a nice memory!
Another video from the Ruhr Riverfront with Geese, Swans and some surprise guests. The last third of the video is slowed down by 50% creating a slow-motion effect shooting in 50fps and playing back at 25.
I recently switched to a new video editor and I needed some practice, so I re-edited a video I shot last spring in Mülheim’s MüGa park but never posted it for some reason. I still shot this with the Canon Powershot SX30, so the quality isn’t quite perfect, but it’s still a nice walk through the gardens. This spring I’ll shoot some more photos and video there again!
While walking from the Schloßbrücke to the Wasserbahnhof back in September, I also shot a little bit of video, which I didn’t even want to post at first because it turned out a bit shaky. I’m not really used to shoot video with the heavy Sony camera, but I edited the footage a little bit and it was too good to just throw away. So here it is, with apologies for the camera noises and the occasional slight wobble. Youtube Version
