Catspotting 2022 #1

It’s been years since I posted a cat photo, but a couple of weeks ago I spotted this beautiful orange cat walking around the backyard and was lucky to capture two photos with the help of the SX70’s 65x zoom from the balcony!

The Lazy Orange Cat

This orange cat was loafing on the backyard lawn – and also watching another cat, hence the twitching tail and the occasional hiss! Sorry, no sound because there was nothing to hear at that distance.
There’s also the alternative Youtube upload as usual.

The Tree Whisperer

This cat was sitting under the Maple tree and seemed to be communicating with it… what it actually did was watching the fascinating birdlife high up in the branches!

Winter Fur

Someone’s still got quite a bit of an undercoat going! :-)

The Surveyor

One of the backyard cats was making the rounds over the garage roofs.

Cat Down Below

This is Leo, one of the backyard cats. He was just sitting down there, looking at me up on the balcony – and of course I couldn’t help taking a photo :-).

The Standoff

This seems an appropriate photo for World Cat Day – those two were having a territorial dispute on the grass in front of the balconies, but it was peacefully resolved (the black one retreated!).

Gallery: Catspotting 2015

Only two more animal-related albums from last year to go, one of them is the Catspotting Gallery of 2015 with all the cool and cute cats I found last year in the neighbourhood. I didn’t even remember that I took so many, but it was at least enough for a nice small collection of fifteen photos – including one unposted shot! Click on the preview photo above or on the link below to go to the gallery itself and you can also visit my Google+ Profile or the Animal Gallery Collection to find the parallel G+ version.

Ready for Winter

I met one of our neighbourhood regulars in early November and it seemed like it was
already wearing its fluffy winter coat. I also love the fashionable partly striped tail :-).
