Mülheim’s Kaiserplatz – literally Emperor’s Square. Here four different streets meet, but coming from this direction by car you’re only allowed to go to the left up the Kaiserstrasse, because the Leineweberstrasse ahead is one-way in the other direction and the tunnel to the right leading to the Friederich-Ebert-Strasse is also closed from here. Don’t ask me for directions here because I’m not driving a car – I have no idea how to get around in the inner city except on foot!

I just had to get a shot of the left pedestrian bridge over Mülheim’s Dickswall from this perspective – I’ve had the idea for a while, but never got around to it. Here you can see the stairs and the ramp on the other side of the street, the other end of the bridge goes right into the shopping mall, but also has stairs leading down to the street level. It has been here since the mid-1970s, when the shopping mall and the highrises were first built. There is again an alternative colour version of this photo to show the colours of the bridge off better.

Yesterday, the Amaryllis got an upgrade to two blossoms – with two more coming!
That makes eight blossoms out of one bulb.
