If you look down Mülheim’s Schloßstrasse, the inner city pedestrian zone, you can not only see the abandoned old Kaufhof department store, but also a church tower in the background. This church is actually in a completely other part of the city on the other side of the river a whole kilometer away.

Closeup of the (in)famous tower over the main Forum shopping mall entrance. This used to be all transparent glass until a couple of years ago, when it was renovated and the glass replaced with those grey panes – it was probably too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer! The alternative colour version of this shot looks very interesting again, too.
