City Views #454: The Castle I

On the West side of the Ruhr river here in Mülheim opposite of the inner city, there’s Schloss Broich, one of the oldest known medieval castles in Germany, going back to the 8th century. You can see this part of the original castle walls when you are coming from the North or Northeast side.
