This house blocking the view of Mülheim’s Petrikirche looks old, but was actually recently built in a spot that was clear for over 70 years. It caused a lot of controversy because the Kirchenhügel has become very crowded again.

Mülheim’s Tersteegenhaus, one of the oldest houses in the historic inner city, is being stripped down to its timbers because it almost collapsed a few years ago. It is hidden behind scaffolding here, but you can actually see right through it.
