The statue is supposed to be 30 meters high, but it looks tiny compared to the buildings near it.

I had to take out my 300mm lens for this shot and it was worth it – next to Berlin’s Eisenbrücke is a huge statue called Molecule Man. It’s one of several by American artist Jonathan Borofsky, this Berlin incarnation was constructed in 1997 and is still there today.

A closer look along the Spree to the East… yes, there’s a huge statue back there.

This is the view East from Berlin’s Oberbaumbrücke, but actually to the West part of the city.

A wider shot of the gap in Kreuzberg’s East Side Gallery at the entrance of the Wall Museum and the Spree embankment. Here you can see the Trabi car again which has a sign painted on the side advertising the Wall Museum! Next time I’m in Berlin I’m going to get a better shot of this area.

At the start of the East Side Gallery there’s a gap in the Wall where the Museum resides… and on December 26, you could get Original Berliner Currywurst and get your passport with old DDR stamps (which I found somewhat tasteless considering how many people have died trying to cross the wall).

The area on the East side of Berlin’s Oberbaumbrücke with some re-purposed industrial halls.

I wasn’t the only one taking photos of Berlin’s Oberbaumbrücke back in December!
