City Views on Tour #918: Kreuzberg Canal Walks 1
How about a little walk around the Landwehrkanal in Berlin Kreuzberg? Even though the weather was very weird – it went from freezing to lukewarm – I still managed to take two rounds of photos. This first shot is from the Balcony with the 8mm lens, but for the next photos I used my 18-200mm zoom lens because I had already taken too many fisheye shots in the previous years.

City Views on Tour #917: Berlin 2022 #2 New Year’s Eve Edition
Happy New Year everyone! I’m sorry that I haven’t posted any more photos from Berlin – there are some, but I haven’t gotten around to finish processing them yet. The weather has been extremely weird, it was still freezing when I arrived but today on New Year’s Eve it’s 16°C and stormy! This wide angle shot of the Landwehrcanal from our balcony here will be the last photo post of 2022, but there will be more Berlin photos soon and perhaps even a couple of fireworks shots!

A first real shot of Berlin Kreuzberg from this afternoon from the balcony with the fisheye lens – it hasn’t been snowing, but it’s still very cold! The Landwehr canal has frozen again and I’m probably not going out for a photowalk until it warms up a bit next week.

City Views on Tour #915: Berlin 2022
Today, I arrived back in Berlin Kreuzberg again for the Holidays, although this is an old photo from December 2017. I just looked up where this bear was located: it’s the Buddy Bear #76 at the corner of Wiener Strasse and Spreewaldplatz in Kreuzberg! Unfortunately the GPS data on the original image is missing, but I knew I took the photo on the way to the Görlitzer Bahnhof U-Bahn station, so it was still easy to find. Sadly it seems that the bear is not there anymore because the Cafe Morena it belonged to seems to have closed or relocated, but I will always remember it from my first trip to Berlin after our last visit back in 1989.

City Views on Tour #914: Kreuzberg on Film 18
This is the last of the Berlin film photos – for now! I’ve got a few more, but that particular roll of film is still in the lab so we will take a break with Berlin for now and go back to the Mülheim riverfront starting tomorrow.
