City Views on Tour #897: Kreuzberg on Film 1
The last time I shot a roll of film in Berlin was in 1989 and I always wanted to do this again – and in December I finally did it. The next couple of photos were taken with my late mom’s Praktica B200 – a camera originally purchased in the early 1980s in Berlin, so it was a great opportunity to close the circle and take photos with it again there. I did not use the original Prakticar 50mm f/1.8 lens, though – I wanted the flexibility of a wide angle and a zoom lens, so I used a Vivitar 28-70mm f/3.5 on an M42 adaptor, which worked quite well. The photos are grainy because I did some indoor photography before and had an Agfa APX-400 in the camera, but I really like this look that is so different than the digital fisheye photos I took at the same time on December 26. I took a second round of photos on the 28th on Fomapan 100, but that roll is still unfinished and undeveloped in the camera!
