I completely forgot this one from last month – another “bottom view” of a ladybug! This one had a little trouble folding one of its wings in, but after a little fidgeting, it got sorted and flew off just fine.

Back in May, I took a lot of photos of a jumping spider similar to this one. This time, I unfortunately only got one shot before it disappeard again behind some flowerpots, but the photo still turned out nice :-).

One more of the metallic-green fly doing some snorkeling on the Oxeye Daisies.

I wondered if it was going to bite or sting me, but after sitting patiently for a couple of seconds on my left hand for a quick photo, this unidentified flying object flew off without further adieu.

The Oxeye Daisies are back with the second wave of blossoms and,
for some reason, are really popular with these green-metallic flies

Another bumblebee partaking of pollinating the basil :-).

With all the open flowers on the balcony, there is a constant traffic of bumblebees. I love it how they fly around us and are not in the least disturbed by those strange fleshbags sitting amongst the greenery :-).

Another shot of the oddly coloured bug larvae I recently encountered.

I found this fellow crawling around in the wine leaves – looks basically like a ladybug larvae, but it’s black and white! Does anyone know what this might be? Is there such a thing as a black and white ladybug?

The borage blooms are a big hit with the bumblebees, we never had so much air traffic on the balcony!
