A jumping spider I encountered on the balcony yesterday… with a size of about 1cm a bit bigger than the previous ones. A feisty fellow, jumped directly on the camera lens at one time! :-)

I think it was trying to the can-can :-).

This flesh fly really looks a bit like a machine from the top.

I had a bit of luck with this flesh fly today sitting on the strawberry leaves – I was able to get quite close without scaring it off. Must have been the warm sun, it seemed surprisingly docile!

I don’t know who or what you are, but thanks for letting me take your picture :-). A little out of focus, but it was a bit windy and I only had a couple of seconds before this fly took off again.

And finally the reason why these are called Zebra Spiders :-).
Disclaimer: It’s only a very, very small one, maybe 5mm long!

I managed to snap a hoverfly in flight yesterday by luck – I didn’t know that my camera could do that! :-)

I had to rescue this silly ladybug today because it was lying on its back in a rain puddle on the balcony table. Maybe the green colour of the tablecloth had confused it :-).

I’ve debated about posting this, since it’s not very sharp, but here goes… I found this fellow crawling around on my knee when I was sitting on the balcony two days ago. It’s a bit bigger than the zebra spider, about 1cm or so… but it looked harmless and buggered off to the floor after the short modelling session :-).
