Small Cat in a Big World

This one I’ve never posted publicly before, but in honour of our former neighbours, who are welcoming a new cat into their family today, here’s this photo from September 2011. This was when their kitten was beginning to take over the balconies and we saw the little fellow grow up into a handsome cat – sadly he had to leave after about a year because he got too lonely, but he went to another great home with one of his littermates and a garden. It was great knowing him and I hope we get to see his successor soon :-).

The Perplexed Cat

You might recognise this fellow from previous photos – here he is sitting on the edge of a wall looking somewhat concerned. He was harrassed by a pair of Magpies who didn’t like his presence at all, making a loud racket and flying around him! He was really confused…

Goldeneye

I saw this handsome black feline a couple of days ago in the neighbourhood.

A Cat being a Cat

The sun, great smells and a lot to explore make a happy cat.

Panther on the Loose

Back in April, there was something black slinking around the backyard :-).

New Kitty on the Block II

That unknown cat I saw in January walking over the garage roofs in the backyard – checking messages! And just after I had taken this photo, it turned around and left a message, too :-).

New Kitty on the Block

A cat I had never seen before was walking around on the roofs of the backyard
garage last week – quite confidently and unafraid, as if it was making the rounds!

A Sniff of Freedom

The first #Caturday of the year comes in shape of an outtake from the December 26 snapshots of the neighbour’s cat. I think climbing that tree is one of the first things he does when he’s allowed out.
