This is basically a small peninsula on Mülheim’s Ruhr river. In the background you can already see the old water power station, where I was heading on this walk.

The curious river meanderings between Mülheim’s Schloßbrücke and the old water power station. The bridge I’m standing on here is relatively recent, but the stone pier has been here at least since the late 1950s – it shows up on some of our old photos from the archives too.
