Another shot of the JU-52 from last week – if this looks different from the last shot, it’s because I took this one with the Sony Alpha 65 and the Minolta f/4 210mm ‘beer can’. I had to crop it more, but I think I still got a bit more detail out of it than with the Canon Powershot SX30.

One of the only four flightworthy Junkers JU-52 was a guest at our local airport last weekend again –
this was HB-HOS, one of the three Swiss JU-52’s from JU-Air usually flying much further South.

Just a quick video of our local blimp – this is the first time this year I’ve caught Theo on video! There’s also the usual Youtube version in case this self-hosted version doesn’t play right (which it usually does).

I only noticed this helium balloon because I was looking for the blimp that was making its usual buzzing noise in the sky somewhere else. This balloon was, however, totally silent and actually really far away – but still close enough for my zoom lens to catch it!
