Sometimes something unusual comes along in the sky, like this vintage red biplane that made a very unfamiliar noise. It’s actually a CASA 1.131E, a spanish version of the Bücker BÜ-131, of which so many were produced since the mid-1930s that lots of them are still around in airworthy condition.

The deep rumbling noise came closer and closer and then the Junkers JU-52 visiting our local airport almost flew directly over my head from behind the house, so I was only able to get this belly shot from behind! TIt’s a perspective of this plane I had never seen before :-).

The Airbus A330 from Air China flies daily, but I rarely get a chanche for a good shot – and this is finally one with an unobscured tail logo, although it was still a bit further away.
