The second rainbow from yesterday – this one was somewhat higher in the sky and the double rainbow was much more pronounced. But not even HDR was able to fix the muddy grey sky!

Today’s silly weather brought us two separate, this is the first one – actually a double one surprisingly low in the sky. The photo doesn’t really do it justice, though.

We get things of all sorts in the sky around here, from the biggest jumbo jet to the smallest single-engine plane – I’ve seen this white Piper SuperCub before, but it’s always nice to see something else than the usual small Cessnas and more advanced Pipers from the small aircraft department!

Today I’ll leave you with this dreamy sunset from about a month ago, which I completely forgot to post. Saturday and Sunday will be very busy because of the CosmoQuest Hangoutathon, but in between the science and other fun I will still have time to post the usual selection of photos!

An even closer look at Air China’s Airbus A330 from a couple of days ago – this plane goes directly from Düsseldorf to Beijing and is one of the biggest jets around here.

While I was waiting for the Dreamliner again, I actually caught another plane first: Air China’s huge Airbus A330! I love that red logo on the tail and I never noticed it on the winglets before.
