I should start to post these because they’re getting rapidly out of date! I wanted to switch the Winter tree shots over to colour and I already have quite a few of them ready. We’re not yet at the stage when the trees are actually getting green, but I just wanted to see if I can get some good colour out of them nevertheless. This is the birch on the other side of the backyard across from our balconies.

Two more photos including this one and then I think I’m going to wrap up this Winter series, because on Tuesday it’s March 1st and then we can at least pretent it’s spring! This was actually shot down at the riverfront, which means some more photos are coming from there soon too.

We have lots of trees with those kinds of ‘seed pods’ in our street, but I’m not sure what they are actually are – although I have never looked them up properly. Stay tuned for identifications :-).
