Tree Fluff

Another backyard tree photo from January I forgot to post – this is basically the North half of the yard, which actually has more trees than the other part I’m frequently showing on those panoramas. There are at least three maple trees, one chestnut and one walnut tree in here – I’m not sure what the other trees are, but I might make a map this year when everything is nice and green.

This is from January, but now in mid-March the trees still look the same… but not for much longer! Spring is coming and the first trees are already budding.

This year, I’m going to do more of this… backyard panoramas. I found out that I can take a panorama from the balcony with both maple trees in the frame with the new camera, so I’ll try to take one every couple of weeks to show how the trees are getting green. This one is from yesterday.

Unfortunately I didn’t get a photo of our favourite maple tree when it had snowed from this perspective, but since the snow was just there for ONE day, this photo is maybe more representative for January! And it looks really nice with a bit of HDR treatment.

Rowan branches in the foreground, other trees in the background – I have no idea why so much snow piled up on them, but it looked amazing.

Snowy branches from January 24th again, but this time from the streetside. We actually had snow again today – for all about ten minutes before it turned into rain… so this is a rare sight for us.
