Like last year, I managed to get my Christmas Tree up by December 1 – actually since Friday, but I hadn’t managed to take a decent photo yet and of course it’s not completely decorated yet.

We do not have a Christmas Tree up in Berlin yet and we almost didn’t have one at all,
but here’s the last photo I took of mine before I left Mülheim!

Last week on the Second Advent I completely forgot to post another
photo of my Christmas tree, which I finally finished decorating!

Why a substitute for the first Advent Sunday? Because I haven’t had a chance to decorate the tree any further, so I have to resort to an optical trick to make some Christmas balls! Courtesy of Carl Zeiss Jena.

It’s the first of December, not even the first Advent Sunday, and I’ve already got my Christmas Tree set up… almost, because while I managed to put on the lights, further decoration has to wait because it started to rain this afternoon! So stay tuned, there will be other photos as and when the weather allows.

I should have posted this yesterday, but I was too busy packing. This is the last shot of this year of my own Christmas tree back from December 8 when it was snowing, because I traveled all the way from Mülheim to Berlin today to spend the holidays with my family here. There will probably a whole different Christmas tree coming up next Sunday on Christmas eve!

I totally forgot to post this yesterday – I’ve had my Christmas tree actually up since Friday, but due to the lousy weather I haven’t had the chance to put anything else on it except the lights. But lots of them!

My Christmas tree was still standing on the balcony and it looked wonderful with snow on it!

Here in Germany, the 26th is the second Christmas holiday, so here’s another christmas-themed photo – it’s actually an adapted cropped closeup from the last tree photo, but I wanted to have something festive for today too. I hope everyone had a nice Christmas weekend!

Happy Holidays, everyone! I shot this photo only a couple of days ago and I think it’s one of the best yet of this year’s Christmas tree. It’s not as warm as last year and not even raining, but we’re still far away from a white Christmas at 8°C! I hope everyone has a nice holiday – here in Germany, presents are actually given on the evening of the 24th, so Christmas actually begins today for us and December 25 and 26 are both holidays. The usual round of photos will follow later this evening!
