Blimp IV


Yesterday, we had a flying visitor again – the WDL blimp was making its rounds and flew over three times!

Blackbird Nest VI


Two days later and the little birds have become somewhat bigger birds – real beaks and the eyes are open, as you can see in this slightly blurry photo taken from the ground. There are at least three hatchlings in there and I think I see a fourth beak in this photo. It’s getting very crowded in there!

A Whale of a Cloud


This cloud, moving slowly from north to south, reminded me of a whale with a calf swimming behind.

ISS Flyover III


This is actually a botched photo, because the camera didn’t do the full 80 seconds I wanted it to do, but with a bit of cropping it looks nice, too. But this photo is amazing alone for the fact that I captured it at exactly the moment when Arianespace launched the ESA ATV-4 space freighter Albert Einstein to the ISS!
