City Views #53: Railway Bridge III

Looking to the west, this is Mülheim’s oldest railway bridge – it was originally constructed in 1866 and has been upgraded a couple of times since, but now has been abandoned by the railway. The whole viaduct is comprised of 39 arches on both sides of the river together, but the actual bridge just has three steel arches, of which you can see only two in this photo from 2004.
