City Views #57: Railway Bridge VII


Almost fifty years ago, in August 1964, somebody of my family, either my grandfather or my mother, must have had the same photographic idea as me, because this is a photo I found in the negatives. It’s slightly different angle than yesterday’s photo, but otherwise it’s nearly the viewpoint. Where there are only a couple of factory halls today, there were lots of what look like smelting furnaces and chimneys back then!

The Favourite Maple


It’s extremely difficult to take a photo of the whole tree and this is just another try –
but here you can see how close the maple is to the house and the balconies.
