It’s not actually unidentified any more, but it sure looks strange with its rear propellor!
This is a Gyroflug Speed Canard which I actually had spotted nearly one year ago for the first time.

The classic view of Mülheim’s old railway bridge from the Schloßbrücke. I have a lot of photos from this perspective – this one is a black-and-white conversion of a HDR from May 2009. The industrial buildings in the background look bigger here than they really are, the distance between the bridges is about 300 meters and the zoom lens does strange things with the perspective. This photo belongs to a gallery I had uploaded some years ago and which I will upload again soon in a completely reprocessed colour version.

Ready for a closeup!

Almost fifty years ago, in August 1964, somebody of my family, either my grandfather or my mother, must have had the same photographic idea as me, because this is a photo I found in the negatives. It’s slightly different angle than yesterday’s photo, but otherwise it’s nearly the viewpoint. Where there are only a couple of factory halls today, there were lots of what look like smelting furnaces and chimneys back then!

Who would have thought that I would encounter another
beetle, this time a green one, in the neighbourhood? :-)

It’s extremely difficult to take a photo of the whole tree and this is just another try –
but here you can see how close the maple is to the house and the balconies.
