Another photo of the very strange Piaggio P.180 Avanti we saw two days ago – from this angle, it doesn’t look so weird, but the noise sounded unlike any other plane we usually have around here!

River Views #41: Special Guest III

This was the destionation of the other Crested Grebe we saw back in 2009 – its mate was sitting on their nest on the other side of the pedestrian bridge! We were not sure if there were already eggs in the nest or if they were still building, but it was amazing to see nevertheless.

The same Crested Grebe as in the previous image, but there was someone photobombing this exposure… I have no idea what sort of fish was swimming by there, but it seems to be really huge!
