City Views #184: Concrete Office Monster

This is the left of the twin office buildings right across from Mülheim’s main railway station – you can see the walkway to the other almost identical building here. They originally both belonged to a big software company which has since sold one of these and is now thinking of moving out of the other one. These offices have only been built about twenty years ago and now they’re already half empty.

I’ll skip the second round of flowers today, instead here’s a bit of sky painting from late April.

Little Grey Something

I believe this tiny grey fluffball with the black cap was one of the birds harrassing the Eurasian Jay who was visiting yesterday, but I have no idea what sort of bird it might be. This is more a record shot than good photography, but it’s the only photo I could get of it. Perhaps a juvenile Marsh Tit? [Update: identified by Mandy Allen over on Google+ as a female Eurasian Black Cap, a.k.a. Mönchsgrasmücke! That’s a new one we’ve never seen before here – or maybe it was just hiding!]

Springflowers #148

Another of the purple Rhododendrons. I need some colour

Balcony Flowers #115

The Oxeye Daisies are back! Well, it’s actually not the same plant from last year, which
didn’t survive the winter, but we just couldn’t resist getting some new ones :-).
