Today I’ll leave you with this dreamy sunset from about a month ago, which I completely forgot to post. Saturday and Sunday will be very busy because of the CosmoQuest Hangoutathon, but in between the science and other fun I will still have time to post the usual selection of photos!

Recently, I noticed some incredibly red little birds fluttering around the maple tree – it was a pair of Bullfinches! We haven’t seen those around here for a couple of years. I was only able to grab a few not quite sharp photos of them, but I’m going to post them anyway because the Bullfinches are such a rare sight here. The one with the red plumage is actually the female.

Another Moon attempt with the new camera from April 22nd. Stacked from about 20 source images with Registax as usual with a bit of wavelet sharpening plus a bit of colour correction in PSP.
