This long building on the west side of the Ruhr belongs to the RWW, the Rheinisch-Westfälische Wasserwerksgesellschaft – basically the regional water company. Today was also World Water Day, so this photo actually fits perfectly even though I hadn’t planned it at all!

The Magpies have been very busy – they have completely dismanteled last year’s nest in the Maple and have now moved to the nearby Birch, where they’ve constructed their new digs in just a couple of days!

Looking over to the West side of the riverfront – you can even see the church tower on the other side. I processed this as an HDR, but did not use selective colouring – this happened purely by accident!
