City Views #655: Embankment 49
This is the strange, but familiar to me and others living here, view of the North end of Mülheim’s Eduardstrasse: it ends in a wall with a ten-meter-drop down to the Dickswall and an isolated old house is still standing on the other side with its roof peeking over the wall and the ubiquitous inner city highrises in the background. The left portion of the wall must once have been part of a house – there are still remnants of a door and some cellar windows visible in there!

It’s been almost two weeks since I got the third Schlumbergera cactus
and now it’s finally about to explode into a whole bunch of blossoms!

City Views #654: Embankment 48
This is the house at the corner of Mülheim’s Muhrenkamp and Eduardstrasse – I still remember from my childhood that there was once a corner shop where the blank wall is today. The house was repainted a couple of years ago and looks really amazing now.
