Moonstack #70
Another “lucky” Moon from today, it’s a miracle I caught it in between all the rain –
and although it’s not as sharp as the other ones, I decided to post it anyway.

With the strange April-like weather today, I was lucky to have caught the Moon at all and although the source images were not the best, the result is still okay. This is just experimentation!

And one more Moon from today as long as I can actually take the photos.
Stacked from 20 images as usual, shot with my trusty Canon Powershot SX1.

Sadly, I wasn’t able to take a photo of yesterday’s Moon-Venus-Mars conjunction, but at least today the Moon peeked through the clouds. Venus and Mars are still close together, but a long way off from the Moon. This was again stacked from 20 source photos with Registax.

Yesterday’s moon – not quite full anymore and with a little more contrast to try something different than in the previous moon photo. Stacked again from about 20 photos again with Registax.

Yesterday’s full moon, stacked from about 20 photos with Registax as usual and a bit less processing. And I also have tonight’s moon in the can, but I still need to process it – I’ll post it tomorrow!

And here’s the Moon from January 31th. This one’s a bit more detailed than the previous one for some reason, but also not too heavily processed. I think the about 20 stacked images give it the edge! And don’t complain about the relatively low resolution – this was not shot through a telescope, but just with the 20x zoom (560mm in DSLR size) of my Canon Powershot SX1.

Moon from January 30th, again only stacked and minimally processed to look more natural for a change, which looks quite nice with the slightly higher resolution. The moon is really small at the moment, though – the days of the supermoon are long over! :-)

Moon from January 28th, but I caught another one today! :-)
This one’s a bit less processed for a more natural look.
And go map craters on CosmoQuest.org, everyone! :-)

Another stacked Moon shot, this time from the 27th because the weather didn’t cooperate on the two days before that. I think I’m getting better at this – this is not even much post-processed.
