Here’s a Ladybug Larvae munching on some aphids – bon appetit! :-)

The first fly macro of the year :-).

We had really good weather today, for the first time it was warm enough to spend the day on the balconies in the fresh air – and it’s going to be much warmer very soon! I found this Ladybug larvae crawling on one of the still unripe strawberries and it took a breather to pose for the camera :-).

I almost forgot that I have two more photos of the firebugs – here’s one
together with a tree seedling as a size comparison. These bugs are really small!

Two Firebugs doing what every self-respecting bug does in this season: reproducing! :-)

I encountered some awesome little Firebugs today. Although I had some focus problems with the camera due to the very bright sun, a few of the images turned out really well.

First hoverfly sighting on the year – I couldn’t catch the giant bumblebees with the camera,
but this one obliged me with a little rest in the sun a couple of days ago.

Because the first ladybugs showed up these days, I went through all the blog posts of last year again and sorted out everything creepy-crawly, winged or six-to-eight-legged. And surprisingly, there was a lot – the new camera really worked great with the macro photography and there are a lot of photos which I never was able to take before! All of them are now in a new dedicated gallery, but I didn’t bother with detailed descriptions because these speak pretty much for themselves.
