Bumble Busy Bee I
Two days ago, we had a spot of good summer weather and I was finally able to catch some bumblebees at work on the lavender we have exactly for this occasion on the balcony table.

The Spider and the Fly
I saw this fellow scuttling over the balcony with something underneath and at first it looked like an egg sac or something – but looking closer it turned out to be a probably dead spider! There was no struggling involved, but the black wasp-like flyer had a hard time getting into the air with its freight.

Aphid Annihilator
The Ladybug larvae seem to have eaten all the Aphids in the Strawberry patch – and now it’s time to change! Hard to belive that something so spiky turns into a little half-globe :-).

First really good hoverfly photo of the year: this one is snorkeling on a strawberry blossom :-).
The Lily Bug
I saw this neat looking bug sitting upside down below a leaf of the orange lilies.
I just found out that it’s a Wasp Beetle / Widderbock (Clytus arietis)!
