The curious river meanderings between Mülheim’s Schloßbrücke and the old water power station. The bridge I’m standing on here is relatively recent, but the stone pier has been here at least since the late 1950s – it shows up on some of our old photos from the archives too.

Another view South from Mülheim’s left Ruhr riverbank. In the distance, you can already see the historic water power station – that’s were I was heading.

This is the direction I’m walking in – below Mülheim’s Schloßbrücke and over the relatively new pedestrian bridge along the West riverbank of the Ruhr.

A closer look from Mülheim’s Schloßbrücke over to the old railway bridge, which is at the moment closed for renovations – you can see a bit of scaffolding around it.

Before I walked into the opposite direction, I took some shots North in direction of the old railway bridge, which is closed at the moment for renovations to fix it up for the new pedestrian path.
