Cherry Blossoms


Because I’m so far behind with the Springflowers, here’s a cherry blossom preview from a couple of days ago. The few remaining cherry blossom trees are in full bloom these days, but sadly not in front of our house anymore because “our” cherry blossom tree was felled in 2012 because it was deemed “unsafe”.

The Fuzzy Tree


This tree in the front yard of the house next to us, and each year for a couple of weeks it produces these seeds which drift through the air as if it’s snowing – but mostly only when the sun is shining!

Tree Panorama


How can you make a panorama of a tree? Well, a panorama doesn’t have to be horizontal, you can always make it vertical – I’ve tried this before, but I like this one from mid-February because of the blue sky!

Backyard Panorama – Early Spring 2014 Edition


I had nothing but trouble taking this one – after several failed attempts I finally managed to get a row of photos that properly stitches together and I better post it now before I find any new problems with it. I think it has something to do with the fact that the stitching software has trouble putting the network of tree branches together. As you can see, the trees haven’t heard the news yet that it’s spring!
