City Views #21: Highrises IV

Walking among giants? This photo of the inner city highrises was taken nine years ago in April 2004 – it looks a bit different there today since the square has been somewhat remodeled a couple of years ago. The building on the left is now the “technical town hall” and the lawn in front of it now has changed. Some things about the highrises I have neglected to mention in the previous postings are their height of 20 stories and about 80 meters, so they’re not that enormeous. The whole area is called the Hans Böckler Square after the German politician and union leader, who actually does not seem to have any close connection to our city.
