The UFO
I wondered if it was going to bite or sting me, but after sitting patiently for a couple of seconds on my left hand for a quick photo, this unidentified flying object flew off without further adieu.

Walking among giants? This photo of the inner city highrises was taken nine years ago in April 2004 – it looks a bit different there today since the square has been somewhat remodeled a couple of years ago. The building on the left is now the “technical town hall” and the lawn in front of it now has changed. Some things about the highrises I have neglected to mention in the previous postings are their height of 20 stories and about 80 meters, so they’re not that enormeous. The whole area is called the Hans Böckler Square after the German politician and union leader, who actually does not seem to have any close connection to our city. If you go to this Google Maps location, you can see from where I had taken the photo.

Once again, this is too wobbly – I think I was breathing on the camera or something. But it’s a nice 128-second capture of the ISS from the pass about one hour ago with lots of star trails in the background.

The Oxeye Daisies are back with the second wave of blossoms and,
for some reason, are really popular with these green-metallic flies
