Springflowers #001

I always start the Springflower series with these, but this is really exeptionally early :-).

No, no new roses, still the “frozen” ones from last year, but in a better closeup.

City Views #121: Architecture IX


I have no idea what this house once used to be, but today it’s a kindergarden. I know that this building is at least a century old, because I once found a photo from presumably the early 1900s of this street in a book of old postcards and it’s immediately recognizable.

I just read that the groundhog predicted six more weeks of winter, but I wonder if his forecast is also valid for Europe, because we didn’t have any proper winter here yet! Well, at least the sun is shining today…

Still Life – The Way we used to Click


I’m participating in a Google+ Black and White photography project this year and the first assignment for January was Still Life. I almost dropped out of the project because I was feeling really sick until the middle of January, when I suddenly had this idea. This photo is actually not the original I posted in the group, but a slightly re-staged and improved version because I was not really satisfied with the first attempt.
