A Junkers Autumn
For the second time this October, our tiny local airport got a visit from one of the few surviving flyable Junkers JU-52. This one belongs to the Lufthansa Berlin Foundation and is the oldest surviving airworthy JU-52 – it was built in 1936 and soon will be 80 years old! One thing I noticed today that the Lufthansa pilots start much lower than those of the Swiss JU-52, so I got a pretty close look!
