City Views #316: City Walk 11

On the other side of the bridge and in the shadows of the highrise buildings (which are all out of sight here) is the Hans-Böckler-Platz. This is one corner of it – where the lawn with the pathway today is, was once a giant sandbox which no children ever used to play in because it was always full of dog poop. It was only recently turned into a bit of grass. This is also known as the windiest corner of the city, because even the slightest wind is catching between the highrises and creating a terrible mini-storm. But you have to go through there if you want to go to the postoffice, railway station or shopping center!
