Christmas Eve

If this looks a bit wet, that’s because it actually was wet last week when I took this photo – and it’s not really much better today. Like last year around Christmas, the weather is all but festive – about 7°C, windy, rainy and not a snowflake in sight. But I’m determined not to let that ruin anything!

Season’s Greetings 2014

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Newtonmas or Season’s Greetings of your choice! This is the final edit of our virtual Christmas greetings card from a previously unposten photo. I’ve put the traditional holiday greetings and end-of-year wrap up over on the blog, so that leaves me here just to thank everyone for the great feedback and support of this year’s photographical adventures! I’ll keep posting a few photos and maybe some collected galleries over the holidays, but I’ll take it easy for a while. Onwards to 2015! :-)

City Views #314: City Walk 9

This is the view East from one of the Dickswall pedestrian bridges – zoomed in, of course, although a wide shot is coming up next. Here, you can actually still see the crossed-out sign from the closed street that rerouted all the traffic through ours!

City Views #313: City Walk 8

Looking left from the Dickswall pedestrian bridge, you can’t miss the other three highrise buildings because the completely dominate the scenery. The wide-angle lens of my new camera makes them lean somewhat heavily, but on the other hand I can fit the three of them into one single shot now!
