City Views on Tour Special: Deutsches Technikmuseum 5


One of the first exhibits you encounter in the German Museum of Technology in Berlin is a replica of the Zuse Z1, one of the first programmable computers originally constructed in 1938 by Konrad Zuse, who also rebuilt this replica himself in the 1980s from the original plans. He remarked that the recreation worked like the original – not very well at all!
