City Views #14: Rathaus

Before I show some other sights, I’m going to continue with some more historic buildings – this is Mülheim’s Rathaus. The current city hall was built between 1912 to 1915 and like many other buildings was heavily damaged in WWII, but rebuilt and expanded in the 1950s. The tower, visible from many places in the inner city, houses a historic collection of office machines. The city hall was recently completely renovated inside and outside – but this photo is from 2004 before the renovation, the only street-level view I could find.
