City Views #493: Bus Tunnel

This is the tunnel that runs right below the combined bus and subway station in the inner city of Mülheim – close to the right is actually another huge tunnel with several different subway and tram lines going through it that make up the actual subterranean station. The passageway above connects the shopping center on the left with the above-ground train station on the right. The future of this tunnel is in doubt because there are no elevators, only escalators down to it and there is no room to build any! There’s even talk that the bus lines will have to go through there above ground, but that would be silly.
