Christmas Swing

Sorry, could not resist the title! This is what happens when you try to take christmassy
photos and the tree is shaking in the wind. I’ll try again when it’s less stormy! :-).

City Views #485: End of the World

This is from a part of our home town I’ve actually never been before and I only had the occasion to walk along there because a friend of ours has moved into this neighbourhood recently. This is actually the end of this particular neighbourhood which is very near the railway line – the street and the houses look like they were simply cut off and there’s only a bit of wilderness after that. It looks like a piece of nowhere land that sharply marks the end of a city district. This is near the major railway line that runs through the city and in the next photos there will be a couple of shots of the railway bridge crossing the streets. As usual, there are links to a colour version and a map reference below.

Sports Hall Seagull

There was a lone Seagull flying around the parking lot at the sports hall and the supermarket – I wasn’t able to catch it in flight, but here it was sitting on the roof of the hall for a moment :-).

City Views #484: The Favourite Shop

This photo is not something I would usually do, because I would never place ads here – but our favourite tea shop warrants an exception. They have been in this location since twenty years and as far as we can remember we have basically been customers since day one. Their tea is not exactly inexpensive, but infinitely better than anything you can get in any supermarket or discounter. They have shops in many German cities and there are even a few in other countries around the world including the US.
