Another part of Oberhausen’s Turbinenhalle – here you can see the older brick buildings which have now been turned into event halls and discos. I thought about painting out the web adress or the whole sign, but then I just left it in – it belongs to the scenery!

Again just playing around with the SX1 – those are almost the last leaves on the streetside Rowan! Last year at this time it was still full of berries, this year the blackbirds, great tits and finches have picked it completely clean, as you can see in the background.

City Views #281: Oberhausen 3
This huge building is part of a complex called Turbinenhalle in Oberhausen and was once a huge steel industrial area. Today the Turbinenhalle and its ancilliary buildings, which used to produce power for the nearby steel ovens, are used as event halls, discos and, apparently here, as a casino and fitness center next to each other. Which is kind of a funny combination :-).
