A somewhat moody anemone sideview. I’ll better post two Balcony Flowers per day from now on – the current count is at 75 and we’re only halfway through! Prepare for flower overload :-)

Tulip season is already in full swing, but this one is from about two weeks ago.

Next up from the same May 2009 series are a few photos of Canada Geese I also encountered at the riverfront. Despite their intimidating size, these are actually quite harmless if you don’t startle them. I was literally able to walk among them on the steps down to the water – but first, here is a trio swimming further away on the river.

And the strawberry patch is… strawberrying :-).

Because I’m so far behind with the Springflowers, here’s a cherry blossom preview from a couple of days ago. The few remaining cherry blossom trees are in full bloom these days, but sadly not in front of our house anymore because “our” cherry blossom tree was felled in 2012 because it was deemed “unsafe”.

More unidentified tree blossoms, probably an ornamental peach, pear or apple.
