This road is appropriately called Steile Strasse because that’s what it is – really steep. One thing I’ve learned when coming home from school is to check the brakes on your bike before you go down there!

City Views #189: Rural Roads II

Looking down the road leading up to my old school, there’s another old brick-and-timber house, which was completely renovated some time ago. To the left, there’s another slightly newer house, but the folks living there kept (and maybe still keep) chickens and geese, which sometimes loved to escape to the road and chase several generations of schoolchildren up the hill :-).
